***We are currently in the process of building our new kennel facility directly in front of our current kennel. Our new kennel with be a 32 run indoor facility with block kennels to minimize any chance of cross contamination. Each kennel will have its own drain. The kennel building will have a a stainless steel dog wash station, grooming table, a room specifically for monthly vet exams by our mobile vet, a scale to keep track of each dog's weight, an ice machine and a canine treadmill along with other amenities to keep the dogs as safe, healthy and as comfortable as we can. It will also be outfitted with security cameras both inside and out. Our target is to have this completed in the fall of 2024.***
Our kennels are located on our home farm, about 30 yards from our house. Our kennel is a semi-enclosed building consisting of 25 individual kennel runs. In the warmer months we have ceiling fans and wall mount fans to keep cool air circulating, and Kuranda elevated dog beds to provide comfort. In the colder months we put elevated houses in each run to give the dogs a warm and comfortable place to sleep.
There is a large, fenced in airing yard for the dogs to run and play together attached to the back of the kennel building.
Our entire kennel area is fenced in to minimize the chances of a dog getting loose or wandering off.
We also have our kennel area under 24 hour video surveillance as an added measure of security.
Our kennels are cleaned and sanitized each morning using the Wysiwash system, all water and waste goes directly into a kennel dedicated septic tank.
We have a number of ponds and properties we train on in the area. Our home farm consists of fields of rolling hills and terraces as well as technical pond in our front yard.
We have several large tracts of fields to train on and can really stretch out our marks and blinds, each field offering it's own unique features and challenges.
We also have several ponds to work in, from simple oval stock ponds or farm ponds, to technical ponds to large pieces of water that create long swim and long entry opportunities.
We are also always on the look out for new training properties.
Our dogs are transported in our 2015 Deerskin 20 hole gooseneck dog trailer for the ultimate in comfort and safety. Our trailer has 20 dog holes, a large breezeway to ensure air flow, 2 fans, a water tank with both pressurized and gravity feed water outlets, awnings on each side to provide shade when needed, custom built dog food storage bins, a stereo system and many more creature comforts to keep the dogs comfortable and safe as we ride up and down the highways.
